Family Action & the Role’s Impact:
At Family Action we support people through change, challenge or crisis. It’s what we’ve done for over 150 years. We protect children, support young people and adults and offer direct, practical help to families and communities. We see first-hand the power of family to shape lives, for better or worse, so we speak up for the importance of family in national and local policymaking, amplify family voices and represent the changing needs of families in the UK today.
Our Children and Family Hubs are vibrant and busy community spaces, offering a wide range of support services and engaging activities for families. We work closely with local communities to provide a welcoming environment where parents, carers, and children can access guidance, build connections, and take part in opportunities that support early development and family wellbeing.
The Family Hub Coordinator plays a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Children and Family Hub, ensuring the effective coordination of administrative processes, activities, and family support services. The post holder will act as a first point of contact for families, provide information and signposting, support the delivery of groups and programmes, and maintain accurate records and data systems. Working closely with colleagues and partner agencies, the Family Hub Coordinator will contribute to creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment that supports positive outcomes for children, young people, and families.
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting children and families within the community. You will be approachable, organised, and able to build positive relationships with a wide range of people. The ideal candidate will be confident in handling administrative responsibilities while also being comfortable taking an active role in delivering activities and engaging directly with families.
You will thrive in a busy environment, demonstrate strong teamwork skills, and show initiative in supporting the smooth running of the hub. A flexible, can-do attitude and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and families are essential for this role.
