Service: Wythenshawe Family Centres and Family Hubs
Salary: Starting at £32,635 to £36,158 FTE per annum* - Grade 3 (Upper) point 24-28
Location: Office based - Wythenshawe Family Centres and Family Hubs, Wythenshawe, M22/M23
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week) - we offer flexible working arrangements, please see below for more details.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Locality Manager to join the team at Wythenshawe Family Hubs. We want an individual who is passionate about supporting our aim to make a positive difference and improve outcomes for children, young people and families living in Wythenshawe.
The Family Hub model is rolling out in Manchester and this is an opportunity to be part of the leadership team to develop our offer of support to families with children up to 19 (25 with SEND), offering and signposting local families to accessible support when and where they need it and to inspire, manage and develop our staff team to deliver
Main Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Locality Manager to lead the local delivery of the Early Years and Family Hub offer across a group of Family Centres and Hubs.
2. Provide line management, supervision, and oversight of staff and volunteers, in line with Family Action Policy and Procedure
3. Manage referrals and allocation for 1:1 outreach support and keep accurate and up to date records, using identified systems and processes
4. Ensure safeguarding standards and practices are followed in line with organisational and local Council policies and procedures
5. Ensure the provision of services responds to changing needs of families and target groups, and are effective and responsive to need
6. Support performance reporting and attend performance monitoring meetings to share insights
Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
• Leading a team of Outreach Workers to deliver a safe, effective Early Years and Family Hub offer across Wythenshawe, providing clear direction and strong leadership.
• Supporting the Locality Manager to develop and deliver the Best Start Family Hubs and Healthy Babies programme and a joint working approach, coordinating services for families from pre-birth to 19 (25 SEND).
• Supporting the Locality Manager in the delivery of integrated services that improve children’s social, emotional, and educational outcomes, meaning that children will be healthier, safer, happier, more resilient and better able to enjoy new learning opportunities
• Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service – Enhanced, Child Workforce
