Salary: £37,211 - £41,518 FTE per annum (£29,768.80 - £33,214.40 pro rata per annum)

Location: Gloucestershire Office based with travel to North Somerset as necessary

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the delivery of high-quality support services for adults, children, and communities. They will ensure effective service pathways, safeguarding compliance, and quality assurance while managing staff and volunteers to provide outcome-focused care. The role involves strategic development, partnership building, financial oversight, and promoting an inclusive, learning-focused team culture. Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, they will uphold best practices in risk management and service excellence, driving continuous improvement and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development for staff and volunteers, fostering a positive team culture focused on learning and continuous improvement.
• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies, risk management, internal safeguarding Circle of Practice activity, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Lead all audit activity, including monthly audits, case reviews, thematic reviews, and Service Level Reviews (SLR).
• Produce and submit all required service reporting, including monthly scorecards, quarterly commissioner reports (finance, quantitative data, qualitative analysis, and case studies), and quarterly CIPs submissions.
• Oversee service finance processes, including monthly accounts and budget monitoring
• Lead clinical governance, including waiting list management, referral oversight, allocation processes, and monitoring clinical outcomes.
• Chair and coordinate clinical team meetings and wider team meetings, ensuring effective communication and action tracking.
• Provide line management, performance oversight, and wellbeing support for staff and volunteers.
• Arrange and oversee clinical supervision for staff and volunteers and attend own clinical supervision in line with organisational requirements.
• Attend and represent the service at partnership meetings, network events, and multi agency forums.
• Contribute to service development, operational planning, co production, and identifying opportunities for growth and sustainability.
• Ensure accurate contract delivery through effective data management, use of CMS systems, and continuous service improvement.

Main Requirements (for full details check the job description and person specification):
• Experience in service leadership and operations, including managing referrals, assessments, and safeguarding procedures.
• Experience in counselling or psychotherapy with individuals in an organisational setting
• A comprehensive understanding of the traumatic impact of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other forms of trauma on individuals and families.
• Strong people management skills, with experience in supervising staff and volunteers, providing training, and fostering a positive, learning-focused culture.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, quality assurance, and risk management, with the ability to act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships, working with key stakeholders, commissioners, and multi-agency teams to develop and sustain services.
• Financial and contract management experience, including overseeing budgets, monitoring performance, and identifying funding opportunities.
• Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service –Enhanced
