Family Action, Bromley by Bow & the Role’s Impact:
Family Action is a national charity that supports people through change, challenge and crisis across England and Wales. In 2026, the Bromley by Bow Centre (BBBC) merged with Family Action, bringing with it an established website and a wide range of digital content (https://www.bbbc.org.uk/).

Following a comprehensive digital audit, we are embarking on a project to retire the BBBC website and migrate content to the Family Action website. We are looking for an organised and experienced Project Manager to lead this work, ensuring content is reviewed, migrated and redirected effectively while maintaining a positive user experience.

The Bromley by Bow Centre is a long-established community charity delivering more than 40 services and activities, including social prescribing, health and wellbeing programmes, housing, benefits and debt advice. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the digital integration of a highly respected organisation and help shape its digital presence within Family Action.

Main Responsibilities:
1. End to end management of the closure of BBBC website, including:
a) Content review and prioritisation phase (both written and video content)
b) Technical requirements considered & planned
c) Re-writing of content if needed and liaison with Family Action web team
d) Closure planning, including redirects, DNS changes (through IT) & hosting arrangements

2. Utilise knowledge of website structures to plan the closure of the BBBC website, with regular feedback and reporting to the Senior Website & Digital Content Manager & the BBBC team
3. Provide a clear content migration plan with a hierarchy of content and any edits required
4. Work with the stakeholders for editing and approval of content to be migrated
5. Work with the Family Action web team to ensure BBBC presence on family-action.org.uk is accurate, well-presented and user-focused
6. Work with IT to ensure smooth re-directs and DNS changes
7. Ensure website closure within agreed timeframes

Main Requirements (for full details check the job description and person specification):
• Experience or working with websites and content management systems, in particular, Wordpress
• Experience of working with complex stakeholders
• An understanding of the technical structure of websites and considerations for closing one
• Experience of writing SEO/GEO content for web
• An understanding of accessibility guidelines to WCAG 2.2 AA standards
• Strong written, verbal and organisational skills
• High attention to detail
