We work within the Family Time centre, the centre is wheelchair accessible.
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week (Part-time)

This role sits within our Medway Family Time service, which provides high quality supervised Family Time sessions to support children in maintaining safe and meaningful relationships with their families. As a Family Time Coordinator, you will play a vital role in overseeing day-to-day service delivery, ensuring safe, effective and child-focused sessions, while supporting staff and driving continuous service improvement.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day operational oversight of the Family Time service, supporting the Service Manager in planning and development
• Line manage and supervise Family Time Supervisors, including recruitment, training and performance management
• Oversee referrals, allocations and case management, ensuring high-quality recording, audits and compliance with safeguarding standards
• Ensure safe, high-quality delivery of supervised family time sessions, including undertaking sessions as required
• Act as a first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, offering guidance and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Build effective multi-agency partnerships to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families
• Monitor service performance, analyse data and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement
• Lead on quality assurance and support the service in achieving and maintaining accreditation standards
• Oversee staff rotas, timesheets and training compliance
• Promote a positive team culture through effective communication, team meetings and engagement in service development
Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
• A relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 or above) in social care, health, education or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience working with children and families, including those with complex needs or challenging circumstances
• Experience of supervising or leading staff, including coaching, mentoring and performance management
• Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practice
• Excellent assessment, planning, organisational and record-keeping skills
• Ability to manage conflict and respond effectively in challenging situations
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across agencies
• Good IT skills and experience of case management systems

• Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service – Enhanced Children and Adults
