Location: Paston Fundays Pre-School, Honeyhill Family Hub, Paston, PE4 7DH
Hours: Part-time - 34.75 hours per week – (Term time only, 38 weeks per year)
Contract: Permanent
Responsible to: Pre-school supervisor

This is a busy and varied role offering the chance to support young children as they learn and develop within one of our early years setting. The role includes building strong working relationships with the families who access the service and supporting them in their journey as their child navigates these important years. This is a senior role with extra responsibilities within the setting and offers opportunities to learn new skills and build on current strengths.
Main Responsibilities:
• Working alongside the setting supervisor to lead a small team to always deliver excellent practice
• Supporting with the early identification and interventions for children requiring additional developmental support
• Taking an active lead with safeguarding the children in your care
• Holding responsibility for a key group of children and progressing their learning and development
• Stepping up to lead the setting in the supervisor’s absence
Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
• Must hold a full and valid early years qualification at a minimum of Level 3
• Must have a minimum of 12 months recent experience working within an early years setting
• Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service - Enhanced Level including children’s barred list check
